Good morning,
In 2021, I installed the trial version of the Lightroom CC desktop software with Windows 10 to test its usefulness and potential because I was not sure if it was right for me.
I uploaded a significant number of images to the catalog from an unverified source that had sent me a .zip file. I found that these images were not appropriate for me and I immediately proceeded to delete them, along with the catalog itself. The software warned me that the images would be permanently deleted after 60 days. Immediately after, I also proceeded to completely uninstall the Lightroom CC software from my computer.
After a few months I discovered that in the path: "“C:\Users\marco\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data\7b998ee4ce3946d5bd79129a4d959cdb\originals” all the images are still present in their original format, divided into subfolders according to the years and specific dates of the images.
Is it possible, therefore, that the software installed in a trial version and, almost immediately uninstalled from the system, did not proceed to delete the images after 60 days, as indicated in the warning message?
For what reason should Lightroom CC keep a copy of all the images in their original format in the above path even though the option to archive the originals is not selected?
Thanks, kind regards
