Hi Community,

I've two issue with actived local copy with cloud based Lightroom.

The local files are stored without xmp file and so I loose meta data and editing.

I've found the option under file > export > "original with settings" but it annoying to export the files a second time. Is there a way to automaticly export the xmp file?

And second when I delete a file in the catalog the local copy isn't deleted.

So I have to delete every file twice. Is there a way to delete the local copy automaticly?

Thank and Regards

Tom

My understanding is that the primary purpose of the "Store a copy of all originals" option is to give the user the ability to continue to work with the original files when the system is offline (thus only the originals are required as any existing edits would be stored in the local catalog).

I've recognized that the deleted files are still stored in the album "deleted" inside the cloud catalog for 60 days.

They are also deleted from my local Store if I delete them from this place. So that's fine.

So my only issue is the automatic xmp export.

Some other users are likely running the Adobe Lightroom Downloader on a regular basis (it's primarily designed as the means by which a user's assets can be recovered from the cloud when ending their subscription), and that may give you want you want.
