Before and After??

New Here ,
Sep 23, 2021 Sep 23, 2021

Looking for help with the simple Before and After left/ right view. I am on the subscription plan and trying to use my desktop (Windows  10) and can't seem to find it after watching a few different tutorials and reading what has been posted here..

My issues seem to be that:

1. I can't find the "Develop" mode- is that something that is only in a certain version? My Adobe says my Lr is up to date? Am I using the web only version or something?

2. When I hit alt +y nothing happens

3. I don't even see the "Show Toolbar" in my View options

Should I uninstall and try again or am I possibly needing an update or something? My ultimate goal is to have the side-by-side Before and After mode showing.

Thanks!

I had a very similar problem which drove me crazy. I uninstalled and
reinstalled Lr Classic and things are back to normal. Contacted several
of my camera club friends both well versed in Lr and PS and they suggested
the above process.

@UpsideImageCO   Lightroom and Lightroom-Classic are two entirely different software programs.

It sounds like you have installed the 'Cloud based' Lightroom.

The Modules (Develop, Print, etc), Before/After Compare, and Tool Bar, are all part of Lightroom-Classic, the 'Desktop based' version.

Lightroom-CLASSIC is only available with a subscription to the Photography Plan, and not the Lightroom Plan.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.2 Photoshop 26.3, ACR 17.2, Lightroom 8.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.2, .
