compatibility option is missing under File Handling in Preference, for importing raw files

What do you mean with "compatibility option"?

Yes , that option is missing

I assume you are talking about the compatibility option when converting to DNG? That option was removed, but I don't remember exactly when. If you need it for some reason, then use the Adobe DNG Converter.
