So, this may be a stupid question but honestly this feature has annoyed me for so long and i need to know if there is a way to do it.

basicaly the healing options in Lr are from 1999 but i love and use the one from Ps all the time.

question: Is it posable to implement (via 3rd party or native) solution for a content-aware fill spot healing that fuctions like it does in Ps (with true content-aware fill)?

thanks for any advise, and merry christmas 🙂

No, that is not really possible. The reason is that there is a huge difference between how Lightroom works and how Photoshop works. Photoshop changes pixels, so it can change a single pixel, regardless of the other pixels around that pixel. Lightroom is a non-destructive editor, and often works with raw files. It does not change pixels, but stores a 'to do list' with the changes. If it works on a raw file, the pixels surrounding a single pixel do have an infuence on that single pixel, because of the 'demosaicing' that needs to be done on the raw data. That means that Lightroom does not have the luxury to change an individual pixel regardless of the surrounding pixels. The only way that Lightroom can do true content-aware fill is when it creates a new file in the process. That is why true content-aware fill is now available in panorama merge (where a new DNG is created), but not in spot healing.
