Copying and pasting the edit settings is more difficult

New Here ,

Lightroom got an update, and it shows on PC.  Main issue is copying and pasting the edit settings is more difficult. They don't load at all. I copy the edit settings from the photo edited, and after I paste it forward to the next photo, it makes a loading screen and then doesn't do anything. Meaning, pasting edit settings is unavailable. The new update denoise feature is also not working as good as the one before.

Version 8.4, PC

I do have a screen recording of this.

Hi @iina_7557

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your experience after the Lightroom 2025 update (v8.4). Sorry to hear you're having trouble with copying/pasting edit settings and that the Denoise feature isn’t performing as expected.

To help us troubleshoot further, could you please clarify a few things:

  • When you copy the edit settings, do you see the “Choose Settings to Copy” dialog box? It's possible that certain options like Basic Adjustments, Masking, or Noise Reduction might be unchecked.

  • Regarding the Denoise feature—could you let us know what's not working as expected? For example, is it slower, less effective, or producing different results compared to earlier versions?

Looking forward to your response—we’d love to help get this sorted!

Regards,

Srishti

Hello,

Yes I tried the "Choose settings" but the result was the same. It didn't
paste any of them.

For Denoise, it is less effective than before.

Best Regards,

Iina Ruokola

Hi, I also agree with the new way to denoise. It has completely slowed down my production. You can no longer mass select and denoise your enitre selection of photos. I have to go through one by one and denoise. If I try to copy the denoise option and I paste over multiple images, I just have to go bace through and update every single image because they do not render properly. This is an absolute pain and has made editing take twice as long.
