Just realized that my Lightroom CC 2015 didn't update automatically (oy) so I downloaded and installed updated version. Just opened it and none of my presets or photos appear. And on top of that, I can't sync the old version anymore. I also downloaded Creative Cloud and accessed apps through there. Really frustrated here 😞

Lightroom CC 2015 is ancient. There is no Lightroom CC now. As the other person asked, which plan did you subscribe to? Did you install Lightroom Classic or did you install Lightroom? Please clarify.

Sounds like you downloaded and installed Lightroom, while you should have Lightroom Classic. Lightroom is a totally new and different app. Lightroom Classic (in the Photography subscription plan) is the latest version of the Lightroom you know.

Just realized that my Lightroom CC 2015

That is the equivalent of Lightroom v6.xx  (Really 'old' now)

didn't update automatically (oy) so I downloaded and installed updated version.

So which Version did you download?

Post a screen-clip of the report you see from the MENU: Help > System Info...

Just opened it and none of my presets or photos appear.

Did you start a new Catalog? (If you installed Lightroom Classic!)

Do you have a Catalog (.LRCAT) file from the previous version? A Catalog backup?

And on top of that, I can't sync the old version anymore.

Syncing what to where and how?

I also downloaded Creative Cloud and accessed apps through there.

And which Subscription Plan are you subscribed to?

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.

Thank you very much for the itemized response 🙂 In the end, I had not downloaded the correct program and as you and others noted, downloaded Lightroom Classic. I updated my Library permission settings and everything is back to normal (and now current, haha). Thank you again.

Problem fixed! But to clarify, you hit the nail on the head. I had installed Lightroom not Lightroom Classic. Changed permission settings and voila, all is working again.

Work life kept me away from Adobe for a minute or 2 - but thank you! I had installed the wrong version; installed Lightroom Classic, changed permission settings in my Library folders and all is working again. Thank you for the advice!
