Hey guys I created a preset on lightroom.

I'm trying to sell my photography presets .

I exported it from the desktop as dng ( the original photo was a JPG not raw)

I put it on my cloud and opened it from there with lightroom Mobile

Good so far . The image shows up as DNG. I click the 3 dots and create preset. It says its saved to user preset . however, when i go to presets its not there. It will not save.

I tried the solution for the other board which said

(

go to the DNG and choose the Preset that you want.

Then from the top elipsis (three dots) choose Create Preset.

Turn off the Profile checkbox and name it similarly but with ’no_pro’ at the end.

This may then work on other formats and may be acceptable, give it a try! )

The solution above worked for me but then when I unclick profile it also unclicks Color - which means all the color edits don’t get copied over, which is clearly part of the preset.

If if I copy the settings and paste it to my own photo, it works fine but i dont want to copy the setting everytime i want to use it. I want it to save as a preset and show under my preset folder)

Anyone find a solution where the preset is actually saved?

Are you on iOs or Android? Did you try to save the preset on the desktop version and then check Mobile?

What version of Lightroom on the desktop are you using? There was a bug where unchecking 'Treatment & Profile' in the preset dialog box would also uncheck the 'Color' box, but AFAIK that bug has been resolved.

I have IOS.  I also have the free trial Lightroom CC the newest one. it’s currently not synced to my phone.  I’m trying to do the steps the way I would for someone to purchase them.

Export, upload to Dropbox.  Person downloads from Dropbox opens in mobile and saves as preset.

If I make a new preset and go through the steps it works.

However If I use one of my presets created  previously with 4 and go through the export steps It Will not save to mobile.

The preset created in 4 days “embedded” if i Change embedded to color and then export it works. But again it takes out the color .

Can i I not export my old presets and use them on mobile ?

In the full version you should be able to add or recreate your presets. It's likely that the reason you can't on  mobile is because  it is  the free version. I have made and added presets on the desktop and once synced they are on my mobile devices.

No, you cannot export your old presets because Lightroom Mobile has no way of importing presets.

I'm a bit confused about what you use on the desktop. You say "I also have the free trial Lightroom CC the newest one. it’s currently not synced to my phone", but I wonder how that is possible. Lightroom CC needs to be synced to the cloud in order to work and your phone is aso synced to the cloud, so how can they not be synced? Perhaps you are using a trial version of Lightroom Classic?

Please explain step by step what you did, and show some screenshots.
