Edit in Photoshop from Lightroom in PSD Format?

I have recently moved entirely to Lr (as opposed to LrC) and have been very happy with my decision, now that the Local tab in Lr is working.

Question: when I move a photo from Lr to PS with the 'Edit in Photoshop' function, is there a way to export the file to PS as a PSD instead of a TIF?  Obviously in LrC you can.

Thanks,

David

No. TIF it is. Hard-wired into the app with no option to change.

It really doesn't matter as TIFs can handle 99% of PSD features. I have never come across anything that a TIF will not do compared to PSD.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.4, Photoshop 25.11, ACR 16.4, Lightroom 7.4.1, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.1.2, Windows-11.
