Edits Disappearing Shortly After Completing Them

Almost every other time I edit a photo in Lightroom, the edits disappear shortly after I complete them.  I click into the grid view, the edited thumbnail is there, and then it snaps back to the original version.  This is very frustrating.

I working on a Windows machine and the files are TIFF images.

Have you completely power cycled you computer? Are you able to make edits in a browser version of Lr?

Yes, this has been occuring for over a month, I restart my PC every day.

Yes, I can make edits in the browser, but that is a limited use case.

The desktop app has a bug that drops edits.

It seems to be related to moving between editing and uploading files.
