Folder synchronization between PC and app

Dear Community,

I have a question about synchronizing my photos between Lightroom on the PC and the mobile version. On the PC, I have created some folders for various categories with corresponding albums in them. However, two of these folders are missing in the app on my smartphone, even though synchronization is complete on both devices. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the two missing folders into the list in the app?

Are you talking about Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)?

You had posted in the Lightroom Classic forum but your question is not about Lightroom Classic. A moderator has moved your question to the Lightroom (Ecosystem) forum.

Lightroom (Cloud based on mobile devices or desktop) for imported photos, does not use Folders in the traditional sense as we might understand them with local files on a PC or Mac.

Imports to Lightroom simply adds/imports and syncs the images to the Lightroom Cloud (in one large simple database).

You can create Albums in Lightroom by adding selected photos to an Album, and you can then gather Albums in a Lightroom 'Folder'  but again this is not a folder 'as we know it'.!

OTOH the new 'Local' feature in Lightroom-Desktop will allow you to browse files stored locally in your local folders, but in this mode you are not syncing files or edits to images imported to the Lr Cloud.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 14.0, Photoshop 26.0, ACR 17.0, Lightroom 8.0, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.0, Windows-11.

I just find it surprising that 4 folders with corresponding sub-albums that I created on the PC are visible in the overview in the app and two folders are completely missing. I have already looked to see if there is a separate option to synchronize folders and albums or if it might help to reinstall the app? It seems that these two folders were "lost" during synchronization in the app.

Sorry, late reply, been away.   And I don't have any answers for you.

In my experience creating a new Folder with albums in Lr-desktop on my PC syncs to Lr on my iPhone in a few seconds.

Keep your questions coming until someone with more 'Sync' knowledge can help.
