Hallo!

Hello @Brit-Carlotta26737326v6a7

Please do not delete the app.  I will share advice I hope helps you recover images from the Lightroom app cache.

Please see this help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/recover-lightroom-mobile-photos-itunes-file-sharing.html

In summary, plug your device into a computer via USB cable.  On Windows PC or older Mac OS, you can use the desktop iTunes app to copy original images from the Lightroom iOS app cache.  On newer Mac OS versions, this functionality moved from iTunes to the Finder app.

I recommend making a device backup of the device before taking any next steps.  Again, it is important you do not delete the Lightroom app until your images are recovered.  Your subscribed account has very few images uploaded to cloud storage, meaning all your previous images are in the app cache but they are not backed up to the Lightroom cloud storage.

Hi thanks so much this seems very helpful! although I run into problems at the first step as the latest version of itunes does not have "apps" under settings. I tried to install an older version of itunes (11) but the problem now is that the Ipad does not seem to be recognized by itunes as a device. maybe that is because it runs on newer versions of ios? ...

Hi @Brit-Carlotta26737326v6a7

What specific operating system version are you using?  If you are running Mac OS Catalina 10.15 or newer, iTunes no longer has what you're looking for, and it is Finder that has the File Sharing / app cache browsing functionality.  See this page for help: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT210598

If you are using iTunes on Windows, I do see notes from users saying that Apps has seemed to disappear from from iTunes; example: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8449117
In this case, I recommend contacting Apple Support for help to find the correct iTunes version to install that shows Apps, and is new enough to support your device.
