Hello Sameer,

Thank you for the feedback.

Here is the information you requested:
I work with a MacBook M3 Pro Max.
The external monitor is an LG 27UP650P-W with full HDR support.

The behavior was as follows:

Hey, @okomor. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Lightroom from Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

You can try resetting Lightroom as a primary step in troubleshooting this:

1 - While holding down the OPT+SHIFT keys, launch Lightroom from the Creative Cloud desktop app.

2 - Select 'Yes' when prompted to reset Preferences.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately, it didn't have the desired effect. Other than my preferences disappearing, nothing changed. Lightroom simply doesn't recognize that it's a high-quality HDR monitor. I can drag the Lightroom window onto my MacBook's screen, and the HDR section immediately appears in the histogram. If I drag the window back onto the LG monitor, the HDR section of the histogram turns red again. At least I use Lightroom Classic a lot, and the program recognizes the monitor correctly. Thanks again, and best regards, Oliver

I am sorry for the delay in getting back to this. I'll need more information to help you figure this out.

There are a few supported screen types for MacOS to use in HDR. Head here: https://adobe.ly/4jbZ48h

Could you record this behavior with your phone, showcasing how Lightroom does not work and how Lightroom Classic works differently? Additionally, please specify the LG monitor model you're working on.

Thanks!

Hello Sameer,

Thank you for the feedback.

Here is the information you requested:

The external monitor is an LG 27UP650P-W with full HDR support.

The behavior was as follows:
In Lightroom Classic, I was able to enable HDR in the Develop module on both monitors, and the histogram showed the full HDR range on both monitors.

In Lightroom, I was able to enable HDR in the Develop module. On the MacBook monitor, the histogram showed the full HDR range, and the image was displayed in HDR. On the LG monitor, the histogram turned red in the HDR area, indicating that it was not an HDR monitor, and the adjustments in the image were the same as on a non-HDR monitor.

But, I was away for a week and am now back. I went through everything again to write this email, and now I no longer get this error on the LG monitor. It's working as it should. I apologize, but I don't know why it's working now.

Best regards and thank you for your support
Oliver
