How to add existing photos to an album

I have uploaded 2500 pictures to lightroom. Now i want to add them in an album but i do not see an option to add them to an album. The only option i get is to upload photo's from my desktop to the album. So my question is: 

How do you add existing uploaded photos to an album?

I'm new to lightroom and i could not find the answer online 😄 .

1 select thumbnails

2 click the plus symbol next to the right of Albums

3. Choose an album name

4 check box to include selected photos

5 Click Create button

Yea i found that out but when i do that it sais : delete 2500 images. Does this mean that they are deleted from "all pictures" and added into the album?

Nothing is deleted when creating an album.

Are you doing something different?
