Image import issue - Lightroom on macOS

LR wont let me import any image whatsoever, the bar is grey and doesnt click onto any of the 'add photos' buttons. please help!

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the import issue with Lightroom, could you please let us know the version of Lightroom and the operating system you're working on?

Also, are you importing images from the local drive or external/network drive?

Have you tried reinstalling Lightroom and see if it helps?

I am using version 3.2.1 on a 2017 Macbook Pro. 

I have tried reinstalling it and am looking to import from the local drive.

Can someone help with this? have tried the chatroom helpline but they arent responding! Need to get a project done for a deadline soon!
