Hi! I'm a Lightroom beginner. My question: I took photos in JPEG and Raw at the same time. Then I imported them with Lightroom. In Lightroom I only see the raw image. Why doesn't the JPEG image also appear?

Please report you VERSION NUMBER of Lightroom. Look in the Menu : Help > System Info.

Lightroom-Desktop/Mobile will import and show both raw + jpg. A Filter can restrict the view to one filetype.

Lightroom-Classic has a Preference Option that you can set to Import the JPGs as 'separate photos' or as hidden 'sidecar' files.

So which Lightroom are you using?

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.
