Importing via Photos v directly on iPad Pro?

What is the precise difference between the two ways of ingesting DNG+JPG photos from an SD card on an iPad?

I have usually done it via Photos, applying a Landscape profile / preset and things seem fine.  Trying it directly (using the current version) seems to get the DNGs OK, but doesn't allow me to set a profile (complaining that Adobe Standard is unavailable or just offering me Colour / B&W).

This  is a new iPad, restored from a backup of the old one.

I saw your other recent posts and can guess that you have a Lightroom premium subscription.

On your iPad, please let any unsynced photos finish syncing, and then try re-installing the app.  Does that help?
