IPad editing issue

On an M1 pro 12.9.  When editing in LR, resolution drops when moving sliders and then sharpens right back upon release of slider.  Does this on all raw files, regardless whether direct import or cloud based.  Makes editing pretty much a pain.  Surely this isn't normal.
