Issue with updating AI masks on Lightroom Mobile

New Here ,

Hi, since a few days/weeks I have an issue with Lightroom Mobile. I've edited photo on laptop, then went to Lightroom Mobile, copied edit settings and pasted to another photo and it failed during updating AI masks. Previously it worked perfectly and I do not know what's the problem. I tried to uninstall the app, restart my phone but it didn't help. Do you have any ideas how to solve it?

Hi @moments_with_mak, welcome to the Lightroom Community Forums! Let's try a few things to fix this issue:

1. Internet Connection: AI masks need to be recomputed on the target photo, which requires an active internet connection. Ensure you're connected to Wi-Fi or have enabled cellular data for syncing in Lightroom settings.

2. Masking Settings: When copying settings, ensure the “Masking” option is checked. Otherwise, masks won’t be included.

3. Manual Mask Update: After pasting, open the Masking panel on the target photo and tap “Update” if prompted. This step is required for AI masks to apply correctly.

4. Clear Cache: Go to Local Storage in Lightroom Mobile and clear the cache. This can help resolve sync-related issues.

If the issue persists, test with another image to rule out photo-specific problems. Please let me know if any of these steps help or if you’re still experiencing issues. I hope this helps! ^CH

Hi, we're sorry about the trouble!

Please let us know the version of Lightroom you're using, and whether you're working on an iOS device as well. If yes, which iOS version are you running on the device?

Thanks,
Nikunj
