I want export my photos to JPEG XL, I have set the resolution 300 dpi. But my exported photos will be just 72 dpi.
Why? What could be the error?

Export/Share as JXL and Dimensions = [Custom Size] where you change the [Long Side] to 'inches' and then get the opportunity to state the PPI at 300, or whatever.

For photos that will be used digitally (on screens) the PPI figure serves no purpose. It does not matter that the PPI is 72, or any other amount, for that matter.  Ir DOES matter if you state both PPI and a Long Side dimension as that will determine the PIXEL size of the exported file.   PPI x DIMENSION =  PIXELS.  eg. 300ppi x 6inches = 1800Pixels.
