Library Filter - Date Time Original

I have started scanning negatives from my family's photo collection. I added the date the photo was taken e.g. 1982 and the information is stored under IPTC field 'Date Created', when I go to the Library Filter I can only find the 'Date' tag which shows all the items for 2021 (the year I scanned the negatives) and not 'Date Time Original' which would have 1982.

Can I request the help of some in using the filters?

Thank you

You say that you "added the date" that the photo was taken, how exactly did you do that? If you mean you added the date into the "Date Created" field in the IPTC section of the metadata, then understand that's NOT the same as the "Date Time Original", which is what the Date field in the Library filter uses. To change the "Date Time Original" you need to use the "Edit Capture Time..." function in the Metadata menu.

Thank you very much! Your suggestion is exactly what I was looking for. I
was able to change the date.
