Big Sur 11.5.2 Newest update

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.4 Newest update

Edit in photoshop is not greyed out. I have tried opening ps first then opening Lr to no avail. I went into preferences and did recommended adjustments to no avail. Im desperate to keep a work flow as I am a full time photographer. Please help me remedy this situation. It all happened after the newest Software updates.
