Hi,
I have a problem launching Lightroom Desktop. It crashers right after I click the icon and brings the Apple crash reporting dialog.

I am running OS Mojave and Lightroom 4.4.

(I can not install later version of Lightroom as it would not be compatible with my OS)

Do you please have any suggestion, or older version I can try installing?

Thank you!

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble due to Lightroom crashing on launch on your Mac. You can try resetting the Preferences of Lightroom by pressing and holding the Shift + Option + Delete keys while launching Lightroom. When you get the window to confirm resetting the preferences, confirm that to launch the app.

Let us know if it helps!

Regards,

Nikunj

Hi Nikunj,

thank you for your quick reply.

Unfortunatelly the result is the same. I restarted the computer (for starters) then did as you suggested Shift+Option+Delete, got to the Lightroom dialog (Start Normally / Reset Preferences). Selected Reset Preferences. But got the same "Adobe Lightroom quit unexpectedly" dialog from Mac. 😞

Please let me know if you have any other ideas.

Thank you kindly.

We're sorry that didn't help. Just to test, please try creating a new user account on your Mac to check if you still experience the same behavior in that. You can check out the steps to create a new user account here: https://9to5mac.com/2019/03/04/create-user-account-mac/

Hi Nikunj,

thank you. Tried creating new account on my mac and the behavior is the same.

Do you think I should try re-installing the Lr? I mean considering if I still can find a version compatible with Mojave...

Thank you very much!

Hi Nikunj,

I just wanted to ask, if there are any other ideas, I can try? Is there a way to download an older version, that did work? Version 4.3 I believe...

Thank you!
