Hi there,

I'm Markus and for the last years I've used Lightroom standalone, currently Lightroom 6.

Now I would like to switch to Lightroom CC (1TB). Until now, I could not find out how to move the Catalog. Is this only possible from LR classic?

Greetings

Markus

The Lightroom 6 catalog is not compatible with Lightroom CC because Lightroom 6 is not designed to work with Lightroom CC. The Lightroom 6 catalog is not compatible with Lightroom CC because Lightroom 6 is not designed to work with Lightroom CC. One option is for you to install the trial version of Lightroom Classic CC long enough to enable it to create a copy of your catalog that is updated to the new format. Then Lightroom CC will be able to migrate that catalog. There will be no possibility to synchronize with Lightroom 6. If you want to continue using Lightroom 6, as far as I know it will be necessary for you to uninstall Lightroom Classic CC and reinstall Lightroom 6 and then install the 6.14 update. When Lightroom Classic CC creates the upgraded/updated version of the catalog, it will be a new copy, leaving the original Lightroom 6 catalog intact. Kind of an awkward workaround, but as far as I know that is what will be required for you to switch from Lightroom 6 to Lightroom CC.
