Lightroom CC autostarts on bootup. How to stop this behavior MacOS 10.13.6?

The official Adobe Chat Support Tech was obsequiously useless.

Thanks for your assistance

You probably added it to your login items somehow. Go to System Preferences - Users & Groups. Click on the 'Login Items' tab and look for Lightroom CC in the list of items. If it's there, select it and press the minus button at the bottom of the list.

Another possibility is that if you shut down your computer while Lightroom is still running, Mac OS X defaults to restarting it on the next log on. You can change this behavior in the dialog you get upon logging out or shutting down by unchecking the checkbox about reopening windows.

Johan, thanks for this. I thought I'd checked that, but in fact, missed it. Solved with one click of the minus button.

Jao, Thanks also for your input. I was fairly certain that I'd unclicked that particular box, as it often plays havoc with my cad app.

Really appreciate both of you taking the time to respond so thoughtfully.

-best to you both-
