Lightroom CC - Radial Gradient Selected Area is Black

I'm trying to use the radial gradient tool in Lightroom CC but the selected area is showing as black? All the tutorials I've watched the selected area is clear so you can see what adjustments you're making.

Has anyone had this issue? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find why my selected area is black or how to modify this.

Thanks!
