If you are referring to version 2.2, then that isn't Classic but is Lightroom CC (the cloud-based Lightroom). Is that what you mean?

Im actually having the issue on both the classic and cloud versions. It is Classic I'm more concerned with.

The problem seems to be a conflict between Lightroom 8.2 and an Nvidia driver for some graphics boards. Here is a screen capture from the Windows event viewer after such a crash:

The problem can be resolved by using device manager to disable the graphics card and driver. However, with that approach Windows will re-enable it when you aren't looking and the crashes will re-occur. Or you can use the Adobe Creative Cloud app, go into the item for Lightroom Classic CC click on Manage and other versions and reinstall 8.1. That makes the bug go away. You will still get nagged to update Lightroom to 8.2 but just ignore it until Adobe (and or Nvidia) fixes the problem. Since Adobe could make Lightroom work with this graphics card and driver with 8.1, they should be able to revert some code and make it work with 8.2 (or 8.3, more likely).

Updated to 8.2 from 8.1. Crash I posted previously reoccurred consistently.
And yes, this is Lightroom Classic 8.2 (not the 2.2 version). Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
I am definitely using the latest (February 13, 2019) Nvidia Graphics card drivers. Yes, according to the Troubleshooting and FAQ, I can disable the graphics card in device manager. But the better solution seems to be to go back to 8.1 Lightroom. And wait for Adobe or Nvidia to sort things out.
