Lightroom constantly crashes and reloads even on different devices?

While trying to use Lightroom for basic editing LR often stalls or is "not responding" then reloads. I have tried all the updates and driver updates and it seems to be a common issue but can't find a common solution......

Maybe someone can help or show the way....this is the deets of the latest device I have been using ........

Hi @Rogue6Images! Welcome to the community!

When it stalls, is it after using a specific tool or does it happen randomly? Do you remember when this started happening? Could you share more details about the issue?

Thanks for sharing your system info! I noticed there are some updates available for your GPU driver (31.0.85.0). Could you go ahead and update them?

If that doesn't work, we can try resetting Lightroom preferences. To do this, just hold Alt and Shift while opening Lightroom. If you have any preferences you don't want to lose, make sure to back them up first.

Hope this helps!

Alek

Hi @Aleke thanks for your response. It seems to do it randomly every two or three actions that I complete, I couldn't find the driver update anywhere all places say that I have the latest drivers installed. Resetting the preferences didn't have any affect once I completed this and opened LR and went to the browse selection LR came up with the messgae not responding. It even appears to struggle with loading the inage library. I had this problem when on an older desktop (2019) so decided to purchase an updated Laptop with more RAM to accomodate this issue. It appears to perssist on this device hence the reach out for help......I guess is there any chance that the issue is related to my account? I have only just downloaded LR to this Laptop (was one of the first downlaods completed to minimise any chance of corruption). As I am only processing and masking the workflow in LR works without having to import my images. PS and LRC dont seem to have any issues that LR does.....It seems odd that one of three applications has this issue for me.

Well it seem I may have resolved the issue, if I don't have my removable SanDisk 2TB SSD connected to the device LR seems to work perfectly fine (a little frustrating having to move the files to the device for editing, but it is what it is.......) so just thought I'd put the find out there incase it helps anyone else in the future.
