Lightroom crashes EVERY TIME I try to add photos from iPhone via Finder

On MAC OS, via finder you have access to your phone's photos which are synced online. 

Whenever I try to add these images (which are in RAW format 48mp), Lightroom just freezes, affecting the performance of the entire PC.

The only way for Lightroom to respond is to force quit it.

It crashes evertime, so there is either any issue with Lightroom communicating with icloud when importing photos straight from your phone via finder, or

there is an issue with lightroom importing RAW images from the iPhone.

Before Lightroom crashes next time, please share the system information from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.
