Hi there,
Lightroom is incredibly slow on my new mac pro 2019. I have the model with 16 cores and the basic graphics card, a Radeon Pro 580X 8GB and 32G RAM. I guess my GPU should be enough for smooth work. I expected better performance than my old macbook pro late 2013 with an Intel Iris 1536MB GPU and an old i7 2.7GHz quad core CPU. In fact, I was expecting a significantly better performance from Lightroom, I was wrong. It seems incredible to me too but my old macbook pro with Lightroom v9.2 works better than the new mac pro 2019. I tried all the possibilities in the GPU preferences. I tried with the GPU in auto mode, custom and off, there is no setting that works.
Although I doubt that the problem could be the external HDD, I tried to edit using the internal SSD in the mac pro which is very fast. No improvement unfortunately. Anyone have the same bad experience with a new mac pro?
