Lightroom is not honoring default Camera Setting

As the title states, Lightroom is not honoring Raw Default Camera Setting when preference is set.  Work around is to Reset Edits (command R) photo to original, but after restarting Lightroom reverts Raw Default  to Adobe Default. Please fix

What version of Lightroom? You posted this in the Lightroom ecosystem forum, but it sounds like you may be talking about Lightroom Classic.
