Lightroom keeps crashing my HP laptop

Hi, I heard good things about Lightroom so I downloaded the trial of Lightroom Classic but it keeps crashing my HP laptop (blue screen of death).  I read previous troubleshooting posts and uninstalled a recent Windows security update but it keeps happening.

 

Before it crashes it is incredibly buggy and not responsive.  Help, I want to keep the program but as is it is worthless to me.

Sorry that Lightroom Classic keeps crashing on your computer with Blue screen of death.

 

When exactly does the app crashes? Does it launch and crashes while editing? If so, does the app crashes in the Develop module?

 

If you're able to use the app, please try deselecting the option "Use Graphics Processor" located in Lightroom's Preferences > Performance menu, then relaunch the app and let us know if it helps? See: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html

 

If the app crashes right after you open it, checkout the "Solution 2" mentioned in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html
