I was uploading photos from my memory card to my iPad Lightroom as I have been doing without problem. Suddenly the screen flashed and the app was gone with the 'message cannot launch the app'. I have a few thousand photos (wildlife) that are stored in the Lightroom cloud. If I delete the app and then re install will my photos be safe? (I just installed the app a couple of weeks ago. I can access the photos through the web version).iPad version 17.4 I think.

Hello @tabbytiger

Do not delete the app.  This will delete any images that were imported into the app, and if you have not synced those images to cloud storage they will be lost.

Only if you are confident that you have the original images safely backed up on your SD card or other storage, then you could try reinstalling the app.

Before you try that, does it help if you restart the device and then try to launch the app?

All photos were in the cloud and synced. So after agonizing I deleted the app (turning off the iPad did nothing. Reinstalled and all the photos are there. Thanks for your answer. Spot on.
