I can't figure out where I am going wrong. I have limited cloud storage (21GB) which should be fine because I just want to sync small collections from mobile on an iPad to classic on a PC.
The issue is that each time I run Lightroom mobile it syncs all of the photos on my camera roll and fills the storage instantly. I have "Auto Add from Device" set to off, but it just fills the storage as soon as Istart the sync process. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance,
Jon

I cannot reproduce any failure with Auto Add setting. My preference is obeyed. Aside from your iPad app or LR Classic on your desktop, is there possibly anything other devices where you are also signed into the same account -- example, are you signed in and syncing on your iPhone/Android phone?

I also have an iPhone using LR, but it also has auto add turned off. I am going to have to uninstall and reinstall (while deleting all images from cloud) and see if that works. The issue there is I will lose all of the edits on my iPad when I do that....I suspect.

Apart from 'Auto Add from Device' in the preferences, you can also auto add to a specific album. You can enable this if you tap on the three dots behind the album name. Could that be the cause?

Thanks for the post Johan. This is actually what I was trying to do. I wanted to use that feature to move some edits from iPad to desktop (LR Classic). But this wasn't possible because the cloud storage had been completely filled with images from my iPad.
