when importing raw files from the internal SD card lightroom copies those raw files into it's own directory (at SDcard/Android/data/com.adobe.lrmobile/files/carouselDocuments/.../Originals/...), so from the SD card to the same SD card, which doesn't make any sense to me actually.
so my question: is there any way to import raw files into lightroom mobile (android) in place, without copying those files to somewhere else?

On Lightroom Mobile and Lightroom Desktop, this is the expected behaviour.
If you have a subscription, it will perform this step before uploading to the Cloud. Once uploaded it may be suitable to be deleted by the App's management depending on a number of factors. You may be able to speed this up by going to the App's settings / Local Storage / Clear Cache.
With the free app, like most other apps of this nature, it will import the photo into the app and increase the size of the app.
It doesn't work like Lightroom Classic where the location of photos on drives are referenced in a Catalog.

I have a paid mobile app on my iPad with 100GB storage. The Lightroom can't import files from Files copied manually in to SD cards. It seem to work from Camera generated SD cards Why?

sorry for the late answer/upvote. at that time it was not the answer i was looking for, but it certainly is the right answer: lightroom mobile simply will not import photos in place. that's a real pity, indeed this is what sabotaged me to fully migrate to a tablet. i think it's really time that companies take tablets more seriously, laptops simply don't make sense anymore for many people. but well, it is like that.
so thanks again, you really did point me in the right direction!
