So I have an issue i never noticed until i started portrait work but looking back at other photos it does it with them now aswell.
My computer screen shows them exactly how my camera took them i shoot in RAW and I then upload to Lightroom and with NO EDITS, this is how they look so different. yet if i make an edit or even export them from lightroom the colours go back to what they are in the file not what Lightroom is showing so to edit, i have to export 50 times and keep making small edits to see how it is going to come out. i have included a screenshot of Lightroom and my pc files thumbnails so you can see what i mean. it changes the colour totally. it isn't a screen issue, as you can see it is only in Lightroom.
i appreciate absolutely any ideas anyone has, as this is so frustrating not being able to do my work on the pc properly and having to use my phone to see real updates on edits.

Hi @Laura22910539bash!
RAW files might look a bit different in Lightroom compared to how they appear on your camera’s screen or in the embedded JPEG preview. That’s because Lightroom processes RAW data in its own way, which can lead to some differences.
To get results that match your camera more closely, try selecting a color profile that better fits your camera. You can learn more here.
Thanks so much!

@Aleke thank you for replying so fast
I have tried this. I am going to film a video tomorrow an example to explain properly as not sure ive explained correctly. Its difficult to explain.
The files are fine on tablet lightroom or my phone lightroom all the settings are the same profile etc. But on lightroom on the computer is the issue. The screenshot I sent is what it comes up on LR and the Raw File.
When I export the file it is exactly how it should be as the raw file is. But in lightroom on the pc shows as different colours. Ive updated the lightroom ive deleted lightroom and reinstalled.
I understand the profiles like you say ive tried all them
This is a very recent issue its never done it before.

@Aleke i am not one for videos or my voice but I really want this sorting so hoping this video shows a bit better what I mean.
It doesn't do it on lightroom on tablet or phone though
Also lightroom for web works perfectly fine too. It's just Lightroom that isn't

Hi @Laura22910539bash! Thanks so much for sharing the video
When you get a chance, could you head over to Edit > Preferences and check what you have set for Raw Defaults? If it’s set to something other than Camera Settings, that might explain why the colors look a bit different from what you saw in-camera.
Hope that helps!

@Aleke it is set to camera settings.
Even the thumbnail on the folder in lightroom is the correct colours. When I open lightroom it flashes up with the correct colours and then changes to the different ones. Ill try get a video of that. https://we.tl/t-Fd7UZFZ3cP

Hi @Laura22910539bash, thanks so much for your patience, and I really appreciate you sharing those videos. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
When you have a moment, could you try resetting your Lightroom preferences and see if that helps? This will return Lightroom to its default state, which can sometimes fix issues caused by internal settings not working properly. Here's how to do that: https://adobe.ly/4kecuQN
If that doesn’t do the trick, it would be super helpful if you could share your System Info with us. That’ll give us a better look at your setup and Lightroom installation. You can find it by going to Help in Lightroom, then selecting System Info. Just copy the info into a text file and attach it to your reply, or feel free to share it through Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any file-sharing service you prefer.
Thanks again!
Alek

Hi @Laura22910539bash, I’m really sorry to hear you’re still running into this issue, I know how frustrating that can be.
To help us look into it more closely, would you be able to share a few sample RAW files? You can upload them using a file sharing service like Google Drive or WeTransfer, whichever is easiest for you.
Thanks so much for your help!
