Lightroom suddenly marks all RAW photos as unsupported file extension

Hi all,

I was mid importing and editing my RAW photos into Lightroom when suddenly, as I was about to import another one, Lightroom stated the file extension is not supported. As of now it won't let me import any new photos, no matter if the file is located on a hard drive or on an SD card. I even tried importing some of the older photos that I have already edited with Lightroom - no change.

I am able to open all of the photos with Photoshop with no problem.

I tried browsing around and looking for answers and the usual advices didn't help my case (ex. moving the files around, closing Lightroom, closing Windows, updating Lightroom, creating a new catalog/folder). Is there anyone else experiencing a similar problem? What else should I try?

I'm going to be honest it is really dissapointing to see this professional software I am paying good money for being so unpredictable.

Thank you for your help,
Kat
