I have now moved my photos that I edit onto an external hard drive but Lightroom is still taking up over 100gb on my mac; the catalog below taking up over 90gb....

Lightroom Catalog-2-v10 Previews

Is there a way it can run off icloud or off an external hard drive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam

You can simply trash the previews. Lightroom will rebuild them because it needs previews to show the images in the catalog grid and other views, but it will only rebuild those previews that it needs. In other words, if you do not look at a lot of older images, then Lightroom won't rebuild previews for these files.
