linear gradient

Hi Guys,

I have some how messed around with the linear gradient on my lightroom account. When I use the Linear gradient and go to exposure for example, toggle from L to R.. it dosent automatically change the exposure? I have to toggle left and then press enter to see the effect? its soooo annoying. 

Any help would be massively appreicated here guys.

Can you share a screen capture? This doesn't sound familiar.

You will not see the Exposure slider effect if you have the Mask overlay active (showing feint red or green)

Mask overlay and Tool guidesare toggled on/off with the keyboard [O] OoooH!
