i recently updated my lightroom cc and now whenever i try to load the application now it comes up with a message saying local catalog damaged, ive tried many ways to fix this but non of them will work for me, at this point i dont care about my old catolog i just want to start editing again, ant help would be great

If all your images have already uploaded to the cloud (check https://lightroom.adobe.com ) than you can safely delete your local Library file which you can find in your home folder on your hard drive. Lightroom Cloudy will automatically recreate it from the cloud catalog.
