Lr Android Unable to import HEIC photos from iPhone (title updated by moderator)

I just updated my lightroom app mobile.

Before updating I was able to import any kinds of photos either JPEG or HEIC however, after the update I can no longer import photos taken from an Iphone 12 or they are known for its HEIC photos.

I already sent a diagnostic email but no reply.

Is there a way to resolve this? 😞

Is this import problem happening on iOS or Android?  You mention iPhone 12 but then the post is also tagged as "Android" so I just want to be sure.

What camera captured the HEIC images?  Is it the same iPhone 12?  I have this too, and also tried other a couple other iPhones here... I can't reproduce any trouble importing HEIC images.  

Are other apps able to access the same image?  For example, can you attach the image to an email and send it to yourself?  Or if you have a Mac, are you able to copy the same image to your desktop from your phone using Mac's Image Capture.app?

What happened was the lightroom app was on an android phone while the photos to imported is from an Iphone. Photos from an Iphone are  .HEIC while if it is from an android it would be .JPG.

What happened was before the update there was no problem with importing to my LRapp and after updating it, it can no longer import photos that are .HEIC or the photos taken from an Iphone.

This is the first time I encountered this. 😭

I see, so Lr Android is having trouble importing HEICs from iPhone.  

Can you share the model number for your Android device, and operating system version?  

As a workaround, can you try uploading your iphone images using a web browser, drag-&-dropping your images into your account at https://lightroom.adobe.com
