LR is adding JPEG photos instead of RAW (macOS)

Hello,

When I want to add RAW photos to Lightroom from the regular macOS Photos App, LR shows photos in JPEG format in "Review for Import" and wants to add them as JPEG instead of RAW. It seems like LR is compressing my RAW photos by himself.

I have "Download Originals to this Mac" option turned on in Photos App on my Macbook. Photos are captured in RAW with iPhone 13 Pro Max, and this situation does not exist when I'm adding photos from my iPhone through Lightroom Mobile.

The Mac Photos App 'locks' your original raw files away in its own dedicated library that is not accessible to Lightroom.

You are only importing the JPG thumbnails that the Photos App shows.

I suggest- STOP using the Photos App, then you will never have this problem.
