To double check you could go to the Segmentation options and select File Type.
(I only have iOS so the options may be different on Android)

They are different on Android, there is not a File Type segmentation offering. Seems pretty limited compared with iOS.
The only way I can find to separate by file type is to select All Photos then type Extension into the Search bar, that gives a list of all identified file extensions in the library. However, it only seems to work when All Photos is selected.

On android there is type. But just shows video and photo. not RAw jpeg like it used to
But you are correct. I can type Raw or jpeg or DNG in the search. Even on an album... So I can filter them that way thankfully. Weird though
Cheers
