LR on iPad not opening - instead black "loading photos" screen / sync problem?

Hi there!

Lightroom mobile on my iPad Pro won´t start properly since yesterday. Only thing I see is a black screen saying "loading photos", no UI. Offloading the app (which means deleting the app while keeping its data on iOS) did not help, neither restarting the iPad. I fear to lose my edits (was travelling) if I completely deinstall/reinstall the app which seemed to be the solution in other discussions.

Second thing I am wondering about (this may be interrelated?!): During travels, I imported my photos (around 2500) into LR on iPad. Being back home, I hoped that it would synchronize with LR CC (& Classic) on desktop which did not happen except for 9 photos - I kept both devices working with LR in foreground for more than enough time while nothing except for those few photos synchronized. Even on CC files or on LR web I cannot see more photos.

Later on then, I couldn´t even open LR anymore, showing me the black "loading photos" screen as described above.

Would really appreciate your help & hints, thank you!

Tim

Hi,

if you have problems syncing, it could be that your quota limit has been exceeded.
Please verify if this is the case.

Thanks,
Ignacio

Hi Ignacio,

thanks for your answer. Yes, my cloud storage is full, actually I´m not wondering about that as I am synchronizing 2500 RAW files having 20GB quota. But this does not clarify why only 9 photos have synched. Cloud storage was empty before aside from smart previews which are not considered for cloud storage as far as I know. So 9 photos can hardly fill up 20GB. I wanted to sequentially upload 20GB of photos from iPad to desktop, then free up cloud storage, then upload/synchronize next 20GB...

How can I manage the files stored in the cloud? I cannot see more than 9 photos on LR web interface, the creative cloud files section is empty - so where are all those 20GB of photos?

Neither does this clarify why Lightroom on iPad is not opening at all. As I said, there is no UI, I start the app and all that happens is: black screen saying "Loading photos". Or is this designed behavior if cloud storage is full?!

Thanks a lot & best regards

Tim
