Sometime in the last 10 days, the subject/background detection on the masking tool has stopped working. No matter what photo I use (including the unedited copy of RAW files I have successfully used the tool on in the past), it will always fail to detect a subject or background. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom, I have checked for needed updates on my GPU, and a couple other troubleshooting tries with no change. How do I fix this??
Thanks for sharing the System info. Your machine has two GPUs: the power-saving Intel® UHD Graphics and the high-performance Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti.
Please try these two suggestions:
1 - Update the graphics drivers using Intel & Nvidia's auto-detect program.
2 - Follow step 6 in the content here to configure the default GPU for Lightroom: https://adobe.ly/49YQSCI
After you update the GPU drivers, try the steps below and check how it goes. The GPU info & Logs location on Windows is %APPDATA%\Ado

Hey, @Jennifer33704756g0ma. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.
Please share the system information from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.
Does this happen after a series of steps, or have you installed Lightroom for the first time on this machine? This might also be similar to what is being discussed here: https://adobe.ly/3DXgoOP
Thanks!
