Masking limited or broken during Remixing

Been an issue for the last couple of days: While editing in Remix (in Discover), you can only use one set of Masking tools.  If you try to add another mask, it won't let you.

E.g.: I was using the masking brush on a portrait and decided I wanted to add an additional subject mask.  Although the option was there, nothing happened when I clicked it.

Another time, it DID allow me to add an additional mask but then wouldn't let me edit any of the parameters such as exposure, contrast, highlights, etc.

Noticed this both on my M1 Mac mini running Big Sur 11.6 and on my Iphone X running iOS 14.8 and LR version v.7.0.0. Did the whole reset the computer/phone thang, but still keeps happening.  Halp?

I am not able to replicate this issue.

Select Photo to Remix

Apply Select Sky - Adjust

Duplicate - Invert - Adjust

Add Brush - adjust

Add Second Brush - adjust

All masks appear.

Can you give me more detailed step by step?
