Moving 7500 photos from LR mobile to LRC

New Here ,

Hello - I upgraded my subscription from LR mobile with 1 TB memory to LRC and PS with 1 TB memory in order to be able to use the additional features of LRC that LR mobile does not perform. I hit sync in LRC and now I have Catalog that says 7500 sync'd photos. Did I do this correctly? What are my next steps to organize the catalog and make it have labels of years? I had no keywords or any organization in LR mobile. Thanks for your help.

By default, with Sync active, Lr-Classic puts the image files in a special package file (Mac) on your computer. The full folder path is:

Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Pictures / Lightroom / Mobile Downloads.lrdata. This is a fixed location, regardless of where you store your catalog. They show up in the Folders panel as an additional drive.

If you want the downloaded photos stored elsewhere you can drag and drop them to suitable folders in the Folder panel of Lr-Classic.

Also in the Preferences dialog > Sync tab, you can set your own default folder for any (future) images that sync down from Lr.

Lr-Classic sync automatically downloads ALL files from the Cloud where you now can edit, keyword, etc, in the Lr-Classic catalog.

I presume the 7500 photos were all that existed in Lightroom (Cloud).

Any Albums in Lightroom should also have created Collections in the Collection panel- possibly in a Collection Set called "From Lightroom"

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.3, Photoshop 26.6, ACR 17.3, Lightroom 8.3, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.4 .
