Im trying to transfer images from LR to PS to create star trails. There is no "Edit In" in the photo drop down menu and subsequently no"open as layers in PS."
Lightroom desktop does not support sending more than one photo at a time to Photoshop, so there is indeed no 'Open as Layers'. It's probably best to export your photos to your hard drive, and then open them as layers from Photoshop.
