Object detection is not working for images imported with previous version of lightroom

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to work on some images and I've noticed that object detection was not working. With some additional chek, I've figured out that it could be related to the fact that they were imported into this catalog a long time ago; or something similar. Not working means that the 'Add new mask' button is not selectable; people are not detected, when I open the Develop settings.

  • I am using a single catalog --> not a general issue with the cataloge, but could something affecting the older images
  • with recent images the object detection works --> so it is not a HW or video card issue
  • it is not due to the camera as the new images are captured with the same like the old ones.

Any idea, how to resolve it? Meanwhile, I will try to reimport all the images into a new cataloge.

Thanks,

// Tibor

I am using Lightroom Classic 14.0.1.

Ok... The issue was the Process version, now I just need to figure out how to do this for multiple images. This was really well hidden. Maybe Adobe shall do something and make it more obvious, why the masks are not selectable.
