Photo Settings from Lightroom to Lightroom Classic

New Here ,

Hey Everyone,

I initially edited a raw image in Lightroom. I tried to open the same raw file in Lightroom classic but none of the edits transferred over. I figured they would be attached to the raw file after the edit but thats not the case. Is there anyway to migrate those edits/settings over to the Classic for that specific image?

To migrate settings you have to turn on the sync in Lightroom Classic. Turning on the sync will also download all of the images that are in the Lightroom cloud because Classic requires images to be on a local drive. It's a bit confusing until you understand how the Lightroom ecosystem works. Here's more information, https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/lightroom-mobile-desktop-features.html

Thanks this worked! One thing that was strange is the file size and resolution for the file i exported out of LRC is smaller than the one that came from LR.

That makes sense. because exporting from LrC creates a new file. There are options for what size file you want. The image from Lightroom is the original.
